Why We Should Be Worried About the Migrant Crisis

Bravo. We as a nation voted to leave the European Union as the results came to light on the morning of Friday the 24th of June. Amongst true patriots, conservatives and libertarians, the day shall hence be known as Independence Day. But we are not out of the woods yet. Our beloved nation, and indeed the whole of Europe, is still faced with the volatile issue that is the migrant crisis. Masses continue to come into Europe from all over North Africa and the Arab world as they seek to find new lives here in our seemingly prosperous continent. Throughout history, Westerners have shown a moral duty to welcome refugees who are escaping war or persecution. From the late Nineteenth Century onwards, Western Europe took in thousands of Jewish refugees, who were being persecuted in pogroms in Slavonic Europe, and later those who faced the horrors of the Third Reich. Only people without a moral compass would have an issue taking in such people. Yet, we are now facing a new form of migration. The Left has shrouded the migrant crisis under the guise of refugees who are escaping the tyrannical regime of President Assad in Syria. While some families are undeniably seeking a better life, the majority of migrants are merely economic migrants – not refugees. What is most crucially different about these migrants to migrants of previous generations is that they come from an Islamic culture that is vastly different to our own. If we allow mass migration to continue, we will undoubtedly go on to see the violent consequences in our towns and cities.

The culture clash between British people and the migrants will prove to be the most worrying aspect of the migrant crisis. As we have seen in France, Belgium, Germany and Sweden, radical Islam has begun to take its grip around the people. ISIS themselves stated that they would use the migration crisis to transport its supporters and Jihadists into Europe. Cases of sexual assault all across Sweden, in Cologne in Germany and in other places help us to see with clarity the culture difference. Muslims from the Islamic world do not believe in a free society of equality. They see it as acceptable to forcibly push themselves onto women. And statistics prove this. Over eight six per cent of the Muslim world believes that a woman should always obey her husband and over forty five per cent believe that honour killings for women are justified Even more worrying is that over seventy per cent of Muslims are in favour of making Sharia Law the national law. These statistics point to the notion that people from the Islamic world have ideas that are radically different to our own. And for our politicians and for the Left to be so open regarding mass migration is downright dangerous. Further still, in Afghanistan (the country with the second most asylum applications to the EU in 2015) seventy six per cent of the population support the honour killings of women and ninety nine per cent want Sharia Law to be the law of the land. These alarming figures (I shall put links to the sources below) prove to us that there is a lot more radical Islam out there than the liberal elite media would lead you to believe. The fact that the UK is projected to take in 20, 000 Syrian refugees by 2020 is undoubtedly a terrifying prospect.

Issues regarding Islam aside, another key factor needs to be considered. We are full! The nation’s infrastructure is at breaking point. It is publically known that the NHS is facing a relatively uncertain future. Yet the UK is also facing a crisis regarding housing and its education system. According to statistics taken from Migration Watch, the UK needs to build roughly 240, 000 homes each year. Yet on average, only 175, 000 have been built. The Left need to be told where to go when they point to our unspoilt countryside and say ‘look at how much room there is’. Despite their self-righteous preaching of ‘green’ policy, they seem to have no regard for the Green Belt, or indeed for much of our picturesque countryside. Our education system is also currently being handicapped by migration. Between now and 2020, some 500, 000 places need to be created in our schools. Albeit, in light of the referendum in June, the pressure from EU migration will be decreased providing we officially leave. But as we have been able to see via students from the Balkans and Eastern Europe, language is an issue. By allowing so many students into our schools who cannot speak English at a high enough level, classes are disrupted. The foreign students are often left in the dark during lessons, whilst other students may often have to work at a slower pace in order to accommodate those who cannot speak English as a first language. This will undeniably continue to be an issue if we allow more migrants into the country, especially if we postpone our official negotiations with the EU regarding our membership. Even worse still, the effects of this will be amplified if migrants from the radical Islamic world join our classrooms, whose beliefs are fundamentally very different to our own.

The triggering of Article Fifty could prove to be something that will dramatically affect how the migrant crisis has an impact on Britain. The Conservative government under Theresa May has vowed that ‘Brexit means Brexit’. But as long as the Left, fiendish figures such as Tony Blair, big business and the media moan and whinge, Brexit may very well be postponed, if not prevented all together. Indeed, many have proudly waved banners while declaring ‘refugees welcome’ while turning a blind eye to numerous terror attacks and cases of sexual assault. After all, it is such a rounding experience to embrace other cultures, and it would be so ‘racist’ and ‘bigoted’ to criticise them. If these groups and figures continue to blockade Brexit, we will continue to be ruled by the bureaucrat drones of Brussels, and the already proven dire policies of the EU. Plus, as long as the leader of the ‘Fourth Reich’ Angela Merkel continues her reign of regressive leftism, Europe will continue to be subjected to her absurd political ideology. Her politically correct immigration policies are practically verging on causing the cultural heritage of Germany to be washed away under a sea of radical Islamic migration. Due to her powerful influence, much of Europe could very well face the same fate – the UK included.

The on-going migrant crisis must become an issue that is openly discussed by all of the mainstream political parties. For too long, consensus politicians and the media have labelled the arguments that are critical of the migrant crisis as racist and ignorant. And the damage of this has been seen. The Nice terror attacks, the Paris shootings, the suicide bombers in Brussels, numerous attacks in Germany, the stabbing in London, the sexual assault cases in Cologne and the current rape epidemic in Sweden. Sadly, it is very much possible that the worst effects of the migrant crisis has yet to be seen. While the issues regarding infrastructure in the UK are of significance, our safety has to be of the most paramount importance. The problem with the migrant crisis is the cultural different between Westerners, and those from the Islamic world. Radical Islam is the number one issue. And that issue is the main reason why people should continue to be worried about the migrant crisis.
